Our solution rejects vinyl entirely: we laminate an ultra-thin 0.02 mm polyurethane micro-membrane underneath a substantial 300 GSM combed cotton knit.

Microporous membrane physics and deep corner construction.

The physics of our barrier membrane rely on pore diameter. Liquid water molecules measure roughly 100,000 times larger than the pores of our micro-membrane, preventing spills, bodily fluids, and perspiration from penetrating the mattress core. Conversely, water vapor molecules (evaporated body perspiration) are 700 times smaller than the pores, allowing moisture vapor to escape freely into the bedroom atmosphere.

Every fitted encasement is sized with deep 18-inch corner gussets to prevent edge ride-up on articulated sleep systems. Standard department store protectors cut corners to 12 or 14 inches. When placed over modern pillow-top mattresses or adjustable bases, shallow protectors slip off the corners during midnight movement. Our all-around 360-degree elastic border uses heavy 1.5-inch knitted elastic tape that grips the mattress underside securely.
